Uprsing
The Polish Home Army made one final attempt to keep the Germans out of their capital city. Now known as the 1944 Warsaw Uprising.
The Polish were determined that with the Russians, they could easily defeat Germany in a short amount of time, however they were mistaken. The Polish realize Stalin's intentions may not be behaved by just defeating Hitler. The Russians stopped at the eastern banks of the Vistula river, waiting for an outcome. The Polish expected the Soviets to continue their advance, but Stalin didn’t want to support them. The uprising lasted a total of 63 days and the Polish surrendered realizing they had no more hope.
